Join us for our Hot Dogs & Cool Cats Art Show and Party on Saturday, August 16, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Enjoy an art show inspired by our four-legged friends, and participate in family-friendly, hands-on art projects, lighthearted games, and other surprises in celebration of pets, creativity, and community!
Proceeds from the sales of dog- and cat-themed art in Frame Gallery’s “Hot Dogs & Cool Cats” exhibit will directly benefit the animals of Marion Animal Resource Connection (MARC).

A Colorful Rooster: Painting Class with Carole Foret
Join Hunstville, Alabama artist Carole Foret for a relaxed, eight-person painting class on Saturday, August 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Frame Gallery.
Participants will learn about the use of color and texture while completing a painting of a feisty, colorful rooster.

Paint Night with Carole Foret
Frame Gallery is proud to present "Paint Night with Carole Foret," a relaxing evening of painting and socializing on Thursday, April 24, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Carole will share her three decades of teaching art while participants paint and enjoy light refreshments. Participants are welcome to bring their drink of choice. The workshop is limited to eight participants, and the fee of $75 per person includes all paint supplies to create a cardinal perched on a branch.

Cosmic Egg Decoration Workshop
{The workshop is full!} Celebrate spring with Nashville artist Carolyn Coleman for a hands-on workshop to decorate your own “cosmic eggs” in a story-rich meditation on the egg as an ancient symbol of the “already and not yet” of living on March 15. In this beginner-friendly workshop, participants will decorate three eggs with acrylic paint, tissue paper, a pen or pencil, and/or Mod Podge. New Artists Showcase
Frame Gallery is celebrating its 7th anniversary with a New Artists Showcase of locally-produced art from February 7 to March 22, 2025. The exhibit features works by Kate Gundersen (cut paper), Tom Howick (watercolor), Margaret Matens (wood carving), Bill Mauzy (woodworking), G. Sanford McGee (copper), Jeanie Stephenson (bronze sculpture), and Larry Wilson (sculpture and painting).

New Artists Showcase: Opening Reception

Frame Gallery invites you to join our 2nd Annual Nativity Exhibit on Saturday, December 14, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. We would love for you to bring a cherished nativity scene of yours to share with the community! Please drop off your nativity on Friday, December 13, between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm, allowing us time to set up for the event. Nativities will be ready for pick-up at the end of the show on Saturday. Clay Ornament Workshop
Celebrate the holidays at Frame Gallery with local ceramicist Terrie Ponder Watch from Cardinal Lake Pottery. Join us for a hands-on, two-session workshop to create your very own clay ornaments. This beginner-friendly event welcomes school-age children to adults and is capped at just 10 participants.

Watercolor Workshop with Phil Ponder
Frame Gallery presents a unique opportunity to participate in a Watercolor Workshop for high school students and adults with renowned Nashville artist Phil Ponder on Saturday, October 5, from 1 to 3 pm. Intermediate to some experience is recommended.
For a fee of $85, participants will receive basic instruction in the use of pencil, ink pen, watercolor brushes, and templates of the windows and doors of Sewanee as pictured. Each student will be able to choose one window or door to draw and paint.
The workshop is limited to eight participants, and your payment of the workshop fee will reserve your seat.

“Judy's Canyon” Art Exhibit Reception and Book Signing
Frame Gallery presents "Judy's Canyon," a solo art exhibit of paintings from Connie Schley Keetle’s memoir chronicling the experience of losing her best friend to cancer, and the discoveries that informed her life as an artist after that experience. The opening reception is Friday, September 20, 5-6:30 pm at Frame Gallery and includes an artist talk, book signing and light refreshments. The public is invited to attend.

Clay Workshop with Terrie Ponder Watch
Come Play in the Clay! Terrie Ponder Watch of Cardinal Lake Pottery presents a two-part Clay Workshop series on Saturday, August 10, from 1-3 pm and Saturday, August 24, from 1-2 pm at Frame Gallery. The first session will include hand-building techniques, including slab, imprinting, forming clay over river rocks, scoring, and slip. The second session will involve glazing the pieces created in the first session.

Students create art from subject matter and medium of their choice and work at their own pace. All levels of experience are welcome. The cost of the group class is $150 and it includes 4-5 classes per month.

Three Lenses: A Photography Showcase
Frame Gallery is thrilled to present our inaugural group photography exhibition, showcasing the works of Kylene McDonald, Rick Boethe, and Sr. Madeline Mary. Each artist uniquely captures the essence of their surroundings, offering a glimpse into the beauty of their daily lives. The exhibition features stunning landscape vistas from St. Mary's Convent and St. Mary's Retreat Center, alongside exquisite images of local flora and fauna, including our beloved goats of the University Farm. Framed photos, prints, and notecards will be available for sale.

Please join us for the 4th annual art show by The Nature Journaling Group at Frame Gallery! This year's theme is "Whimsical Wildlife" and includes works by Lendon Noe, Lin Cameron, Margie Gallagher, Teesha Tiller, Laura Blackman, Deb Tucker, Mary Davis, and Mary Priestley.

Group Art Class for Students (Grades 5-10)
Illustrator and instructor, Cheryl Lankhaar, is offering group art classes for students (grades 5 to 10) every Sunday (April 14 - May 19) from 3-5 p.m. at Frame Gallery Studio.
The $125 registration per student includes all painting supplies, room, rental and instructor fee for the six-week class. Students will create at least two completed projects to take home.
Cheryl Lankhaar is the illustrator of the children's book, The Monteagle Assembly, Kinsley's Story.
Please register by April 7 at noon by emailing Cheryl to sign up for the 6-week class.
