Tippen Harvey “Tippy” Anderson

Sewanee Art Works and Martha’s classes have been a part of mountain life for Tippy Anderson since 2008. Martha has been a muse for Tippy for a long time. Tippy says, “Martha is encouraging, and has a good eye. She always sees that one item the painting needs and I didn’t know it.” Tippy enjoys both working with mixed media and singling out just one medium: water color, oils, pen and ink, or pastels. Her favorite subjects are natural items, architecture, animals, people, or anything that interests her. Tippy’s goal, now that she’s here full-time in Sewanee, is to settle in and create more.
