Larry Todd Wilson

For over 25 years, I have sought to capture a sense of wholeness—“seeing one”—through the physical forms of sculpture and the conceptual forms within painting.

My large-format, abstract paintings, built with layers of color, invite a meditative experience where harmony emerges from the interplay of depth and texture.

In sculpture, I carve marble or alabaster using the taille directe method, allowing each block to reveal its inner essence. Marble’s defined contours and alabaster’s luminous translucence embody transformation—an unveiling of form through the removal of the unnecessary.

Both painting and carving are ways of engaged awareness. Through my work, I hope to share a sense of calm and connection—an invitation to explore unity in art and being.
